Easyfairs, organiser of Advanced Engineering UK 2016, the UK’s largest annual trade show and open conference for the high performance engineering sectors, has issued a call for papers. The show, which takes place at Birmingham’s NEC on 2 & 3 November 2016, is inviting submissions for its Open Conference, the largest open engineering conference programme in the UK.

The show invites submissions covering case studies, technologies, and innovations in the sectors including:

  • Automation

Presentation slots are highly sought after, and are either commissioned, or carefully selected on the basis of their unbiased content, and value to visitors. The selection process will begin in early May with all submissions being reviewed by an industry selection committee.

Last year’s show featured almost 200 speakers, across six theatres, covering the entire engineering spectrum. It included speakers from Boeing, Magna International, Siemens, Jaguar Land Rover, European Space Agency, SAE International, Cannon, Bentley Motors and Airbus UK.

Advanced Engineering UK welcomed over 13,000 visitors to the 2015 show, with the best and brightest from the engineering world in attendance, with delegates ranging from Airbus to Aston Martin; Dyson to Doncasters; Red Bull Technology to Ricardo; Siemens to Sunseeker Yachts; Q8 Oils to Qinetiq, and many more.

The show was also packed with a host of engineering feats including the ARION1 Land Speed Bicycle, Vestas Sailrocket 2, the game-changing MK3 Libralato Engine, the Facebook Aquila Solar Plane wing, Micro Metalsmiths’ BeBionic arm, Canon’s SLA printed and 3D scanned Webb Ellis Cup and Tesla’s Model S electric car.

Katie Crocombe, Event Director for Advanced Engineering UK, comments: “This is the second year we at Easyfairs have run Advanced Engineering, and we want it to be bigger and better than ever. Last year we hosted and boasted some of the biggest names within the engineering world, on a global scale, and it exceeded all of our expectations. However, we want to ensure that the 2016 show comes back even better, offering something for everyone.

“This call for papers is offering everyone in the engineering sector the chance to be part of the leading event of its kind in the UK. We want our content to be cutting-edge and innovative, so there really is no better time to get on board and be part of this vibrant show. We can’t wait to see what ideas are put forward.”

For anyone interested in submitting a presentation, please enter here before 8th April. More information about the show can be found at www.advancedengineeringuk.com, via the show team on +44 (0)20 8843 8800 or paul.love@easyfairs.com.
