BMW MANUFACTURING WINS SUPPLIER CHOICE AWARD

BMW Manufacturing has won the coveted Supplier Choice Award presented every two years by Automotive News. The award is based on surveys conducted by J.D. Power across the entire automotive supplier industry in the United States. Supplier companies are asked to rate automakers according to key criteria such as openness to new ideas and the level of support given to them by the car manufacturers. BMW Manufacturing ranked the highest in the 2009 survey followed by Honda North America and Toyota Motor Manufacturing.

“It is a great honor for BMW to receive this Supplier Choice Award and I want to thank our suppliers who voted for us,” said President Josef Kerscher in accepting the award. “We could not do business or meet the expectations of our customers without our suppliers and this award is proof that we are working together to be successful.”

The award was presented to BMW Manufacturing President Josef Kerscher last week in Birmingham, AL, at the bi-annual Automotive News Manufacturing Conference.

BMW Manufacturing Co. is a subsidiary of BMW AG in Munich, Germany and is the global producer of the BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle and X6 Sports Activity Coupe.
